Are You Saved… or Just Religious?
Religion Can’t Wash Away Sin
Religious activity can’t erase the guilt of sin. Only the blood of Jesus can do that. Salvation is not about how often you pray, how much you give, or how involved you are in church — it’s about being born again by the Spirit of God.
Scripture Callout: “By the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” – Galatians 2:16
Signs You’re Just Religious
- Relying on good works to earn God’s favor
- Going through spiritual motions without real heart change
- Knowing about Jesus without truly knowing Him
- Defending tradition over Scripture
Scripture Callout: “This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.” – Matthew 15:8
Signs You’re Truly Saved
True salvation shows in a changed life — not perfection, but direction. A truly saved person will hunger for God’s Word, love other believers, turn from sin, and obey Christ out of love, not obligation.
Scripture Callout: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Call to Examine Yourself
The Bible urges us to examine our faith. Don’t settle for being “religious” — make sure you’ve truly repented and placed your trust in Jesus alone for salvation. He is the only way to the Father.
