Why Unforgiveness Is Deadly
Unforgiveness doesn’t just affect your relationships with people—it affects your relationship with God. Jesus said plainly that if we don’t forgive others, God will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). Unforgiveness keeps you trapped in bitterness and separates you from His grace.
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” — Mark 11:25
The Hidden Cost of Holding On
You may think refusing to forgive hurts the other person, but in reality, it poisons your own soul. Unforgiveness robs you of peace, joy, and freedom. It keeps wounds open that Jesus longs to heal.
The Gospel’s Answer to Unforgiveness
At the cross, Jesus bore every sin—including the ones committed against you. Because He forgave us a debt we could never repay, we can forgive others. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what they did was okay; it means you’re releasing the right to vengeance and entrusting justice to God. Forgiveness sets you free.
“Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.” — Colossians 3:13
Your Invitation
Are you carrying the heavy chains of unforgiveness? Jesus offers freedom today. Repent of your sin, trust Him as Savior, and let His forgiveness flow through you. Don’t let grudges drag you into bitterness—step into the freedom Christ purchased with His blood.
