Jesus Saves Broken People – Not Perfect Ones (Clovis, NM Church)

Do you ever feel like you’re too far gone for God?

Too messed up? Too angry? Too addicted? Too ashamed?

Good news: Jesus didn’t come for perfect people. He came for the broken.

“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” – Mark 2:17

Church Isn’t a Museum — It’s a Hospital

At The Potter’s House in Clovis, we don’t pretend to have it all together. We’ve been healed, changed, and forgiven — not because we earned it, but because God is merciful.

Religion tells you to clean yourself up before coming to God. The gospel says: Come as you are — and let Him do the cleaning.

God Uses the Messy

Take a look at the people Jesus saved:

  • A demon-possessed man living in a graveyard
  • A corrupt tax collector robbing his own people
  • A woman caught in adultery—moments from being stoned
  • A thief dying on a cross next to Him

Not one of them deserved grace. And yet every single one walked away changed.

Your Past Doesn’t Scare Jesus

You may think, “If people only knew what I’ve done…” Friend, Jesus already knows—and He still says, “Come.”

You’re not too far. You’re not too dirty. You’re not too broken. Jesus specializes in resurrection stories.

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

You Can Start Over

Are you tired of running? Are you ready for peace that doesn’t fade and hope that doesn’t fail?

Jesus doesn’t offer a band-aid. He offers a new heart.
