When Faith Feels Different

Sometimes God feels close. Sometimes He doesn't.

There are seasons when faith seems almost effortless. Prayer comes naturally. Scripture speaks directly into your life. You can look around and clearly see the hand of God.

Then there are other seasons.

You pray and hear silence. You ask for direction and still don't know which way to go. Something you desperately wanted God to change doesn't change. Church feels different. Your Bible stays closed a little longer than it used to.

“Why does God feel so far away?”

The Bible does not avoid that question.

Scripture is filled with people who cried out to God, waited for answers, wrestled with fear, failed badly, wandered, returned, and discovered that God's grace had never disappeared.

This series is about those moments.

Over seven days, we'll have honest conversations about spiritual distance, prayer, disappointment, trust, drifting, forgiveness, repentance, and what it really means to come home to God.

Maybe This Is Where You Are

This series may be for you if...

You believe in God but don't feel as close to Him as you once did.
Prayer feels empty routine, awkward, or harder than it used to be.
You've been waiting and wondering why God hasn't answered.
Life has shaken you and trusting God feels harder than before.
You know you've drifted even if you can't point to one moment when it happened.
Your past follows you and you wonder whether God still wants you.
You want to come back but you aren't sure what coming back even looks like.
You're searching and you're not even sure yet what you believe.
“Come near to God and He will come near to you.”
James 4:8 · NIV
The Journey

Seven days.
Seven honest conversations.

Don't Rush This

Give God room to speak.

You can read the entire series at once, but consider taking one day at a time. Slow down enough to read the Scripture for yourself and respond honestly.

01

Read

Open the passages yourself. Don't only read what someone else says about the Bible.

02

Be Honest

God doesn't need the answer that sounds spiritual. Bring Him the answer that's actually true.

03

Respond

Before moving on, take one practical step toward what God is showing you.

An Invitation

You don't have to fix yourself before coming back to God.

Maybe you've been away from church for years. Maybe you're sitting in church every week but know something has changed inside you. Maybe you're still trying to figure out whether you believe any of this.

Wherever you are, Jesus isn't waiting for you to make yourself worthy before you come to Him.

Come as you are. Start where you are.
